For people who often go abroad, a suitcase is a necessary application. Whenever they come back from a long trip, the suitcase is as worn-out as people's. Even if you are careful on the way, it is unlikely that the suitcase is completely clean. In the process of consignment at the airport, it is also common for many people to stick stickers on the surface of the suitcase. Because of this, the maintenance and cleaning of the suitcase have become an important task before the next trip!
Before cleaning, first, distinguish the materials of the suitcase. Different materials have different cleaning agents and cleaning methods. Usually, you can see the relevant information about the box material on the tag or manual of the suitcase, and some will even indicate the use precautions, cleaning methods, maintenance information, etc.
Generally, there are two categories of travel cases: hard cases and soft cases. Common hard cases include ABS, PP, PC, thermoplastic composite materials, and other materials. They have the advantages of wear resistance, impact resistance, water resistance, compression resistance, and high temperature resistance and are more suitable for long-distance travel. As for the softbox, it contains nylon, canvas, leather, and other materials. It is light in weight and strong in toughness, but it is less waterproof, crash-resistant, and compression resistant. It is more suitable for short trips.
Generally, for cleaning, the hard box can be wiped with a dry cloth dipped in a neutral detergent to remove stains, and then the soft cloth can be used to wipe the surface dry. The softbox can be cleaned with a glue roller brush, vacuum cleaner, and other tools, or wiped with a damp cloth dipped in neutral detergent. When cleaning, scrub along the texture of the fabric surface gently to avoid fuzzing. If the suitcase is made of EVA material, you can use a brush to brush off the dust on the surface, and stubborn dirt can be lightly wiped with a little degreasing oil.
In addition to stains, the most common suitcase pollution is the sticker. Since the adhesive on the sticker will melt at high temperatures, leaving a corrosive black mark on the case surface, it should be removed as soon as possible.
As for cleaning the box, it is relatively simple. You can use a vacuum cleaner or clean it with water. After that, it can be dried naturally in the shade. You can also use alcohol for disinfection.
In normal use, it should also be noted that the suitcase should be placed upright without any pressure on it. The wheels of the trolley case shall be kept smooth and can be lubricated to avoid rust. When not in use, cover the suitcase with plastic bags to prevent dust from seeping into the surface fiber after accumulation, which is difficult to clean in the future.
